Case Study
Digital kiosk
Design an experience to purchase gift cards from a digital kiosk with added functionalities like sending personalized messages. The entire experience should be quick and easy to use. For transactions it should accept the payments form Everyday Reward wallet only.
My Role:
UX/UI Designer
I worked solo on this project, and it took me a little over 3 months to complete. Because there aren't many kiosk interaction designs available, it was a challenging project that also allowed me to learn a lot more about design. I really enjoyed working on this one, and I'm happy with the way it turned out.

Research:
-
Most kiosks only allow users to buy one gift card at a time.
-
No kiosk has a functionality like sending video messages to the receiver.
-
Customization of gift cards functionality is something only websites have because of the responsiveness limitations on the kiosks.
These are the existing market/ stores that exist for physical gift cards. The idea is to replace the physical gift card stand with a digital kiosk for eGift cards.
Concept:
A kiosk system to buy gift cards for yourself or a loved one. Kiosk consists of gift cards from tons of companies. The physical kiosk is a touch screen ELO Touch 22" (22 inches). These kiosks will be placed inside stores where people can walk in and buy gift cards. The idea is to replace the physical gift card counters with a kiosk. The kiosk should have different ways of finding gift cards: by catalog, by text & by category. On the search results page, gift cards can be sorted from A to Z. Users should be able to reset search and designs should have proper pagination. To buy a gift card, the user has to login using their "Everyday Rewards" card. All the payments are supposed to be done using only the Everyday Rewards card. There will be a progress bar which helps users to know at what step of the process they are at.
